BLU operations in the area have met with horrific resistance from RED of late. Steps, as they say, had to be taken. When the intelligence reports last filched from under RED's nose indicated the RED team had concentrated vast quantities of infrastructure in a single location accessible by rail from an old, forgotten BLU listening post...

Well. Who are the BLU field operatives to ignore an opportunity dropped in their lap?

Time for some serious mayhem.

Mia saw the doors.

She really had no idea what they meant. But she knew this: if Draco saw her enter a red door, he would have some questions for her involving Gryffindor.

Really, she just started by peeking around (see icon) and just happened to recognize the people inside.

"Herr Medic? Herr Heavy?"

Oh by the Goddess, what has she walked into?

"... ach, anozzer one? Guten abend, Frau Ausa," calls the Medic. "You come at a tense moment, I am afraid."

"So I've gathered," she says, taking in the room. "What precisely is going on?"

And can she help?

Though she's not sure she can. She's feeling unusually cut off from her magic. It's still there, just not as strong as she's used to for her level of training.

"Zhis... is a battlefield," the Heavy says with as expansive a gesture as his stubby left arm will allow. The other arm is holding his gun. "Should vwe get her a veapon, Doktor?"

"Ja, I sink so," says the Medic. "Frau Ausa, I fear you've arrived chust in time for our expedition to see ze RED presence in the area destroyed utterly. I suggest for your own survival's sake you take a uniform und ze weapons associated with it; only half of ze people you'll encounter today will try to kill you under ze circumstances."

He eyes her height speculatively, then shakes his head.

"Not Scout, I sink. Perhaps... hmm."

"Vhat is your special talent, in your home world?" the Heavy asks. "I remember somesing about... snow?"

"Yes, but I'm not sure how well that would go over. Usually when I fight, I fight with fire. And I suppose I would need a weapon since I can't feel my usual magic strength."

But perhaps she will...influence.

"Ah!" The Medic brightens and opens one of the other lockers. "I sink we can help you zere. One flammenwurfer coming right up."

Flammenwurfer, it turns out, is German for 'flamethrower'....

"This is going to be a learning experience," she says, looking at the flamethrower.

Mia Ausa, dangerous as she is, has never handled a modern weapon. But she does have fire on her side. Knowledge of the teacher will make up for lack of experience in the student.

"I should mark myself, yes? A uniform?" she asks as she ties her hair back with her ribbon. "I don't think my robes are suitable or intimidating."

Anticipating the next step, the Medic is already holding out the Pyro's suit and mask. "Completely fireproof," he says. "Burn ozzers all you like; no such harm will come to you."

"And it won't negatively affect my agility?"

Which might be a stupid thing to ask while wearing a robe containing plenty of magic items. We argue she'll be faster in this because she doesn't have star lights, healing nuts, gorgon dolls, pocket dictionaries, and protective charms weighing her down. But it's hard to tell when it's oh-so-flowy!

She takes the offered suit and says, "And more modest than my last uniform in other-worldly arson."

Changing in front of the boys would detract from said modesty...

"Herr Pyro has never complained of such issues," the Medic assures her. "I should go into vun of ze bathroom stalls to change if I were you- chust over zere."

She does and comes back not long after, finishing the business of putting on the mask as she does.

But not before saying, "Well, looks like you've got a Pyro. Tell me where you want the fire and I'll make the others glad I can't use my Flameria here."

Woe to the people who get in Mia Ausa's way. Especially when she figures out Hadouken.

And though there is a strange feeling of time displacement when Mia takes up the flamethrower, it can't shake the natural feeling of fire, its potential and what she's going to make of it.
