Hey guys, have a Pyro!

There's a good chunk of mumbling that hopefully sounds like, "Took down a RED."

The Heavy and Teja may have trouble understanding the mumbling, but the Medic's actually become quite good at understanding Pyros over his years of service. He smiles. "Danke," he says as the cart creaks its way forward. "I would ask a favor if I may- ze second trigger of your flammenwurfer expels compressed air, not fire. Ze RED Demoman is likely to line ze tunnel walls und ceiling mit stickybombs; can you clear some away?"

There's a brief nod before she goes ahead and fires an air blast.

The kickback this time around surprises her a little, but the weapon only gets a look and a nod of apparent approval before she presses on.

There's a chrrrmmmm noise from behind. Mia may notice that she's suddenly starting to feel a lot better. If she turns and looks behind her, she'll find that Medic's stepped away from the cart and is pointing the nozzle of that big blue backpack he always wears at her. The swirling blue energies it emits don't seem much concerned with traveling in a straight line, but the link is there- and will stay there until she's not only healed, but rather better than healed. A freshly pumped-up Pyro will definitely make RED's day that much worse.

He gets a nod of salute from her and a mumbled, "Thanks!" But she never knew doctors could do that. It's closer to something Jessica would do than the doctors at home.

And now feeling more than refreshed, they continue through the tunnel, another air blast after Mia's confident they've passed the end of the-

OH FUCK, THAT WAS A SHOT! DAMN SENTRY GUN!

"Scheisse!" The Medic flattens himself against a tunnel wall. "Herr Soldier! I sink we haf need of your rockets!"

Teja lifts the rocket launcher onto his shoulder, steps out from behind the cart, and shoots into the dark where the shot came from.

If he is hit, he can be healed like their small comrade with the mask was, or remade, and catch up with them.

You mean like that other BLU Pyro that's just joined them from the rear?

That's right, you imbeciles. You all just keep focusing on that turret up there while the Spyro gets behind whoever's in the rear.

There's a very satisfying fa-thoom! from up ahead, and the sound of an angry Engineer running down with his wrench in hand. "Anozzer one, I sink," says the Medic, glancing briefly over his shoulder before looking ahead once more. What? It's a Pyro. There's always Pyros.

Teja shoots another rocket, quickly, at the same target. It seems to be working.

The recoil from the rocket launcher is entirely something else; but he can stand it, just as he could stand catching spears with his shield that flew at him with their momentum yet unspent.

It is the same bracing of the spine against the slam of incoming force.

The sentry gun is history, and the splash damage means there's an angry Engineer up ahead with his shotgun ready. "Oh, I am gonna lay you out," the Texan snarls, and starts firing.

(The Medic has been through this before. Teja gets to be on the receiving end of a medigun beam now. Mostly so that Medic doesn't take the Engineer's hits, but still.)

Teja gets out his own shotgun, aims at where the fire is coming from, and starts firing, also.

He does not doubt the beam which the Medic is turning on him; it would be some sort of support, would it not?

The Medic is focused on the Soldier, and the Soldier is focused on the enemy Engineer.

Nobody's paying much attention to either of the Pyros.

Or to the girl in the RED Scout uniform crouched on the cliff up above.

At least, not until she jumps off the cliff with a roar of rage, baseball bat at the ready, aimed directly at Mia's head.

Mia tries firing upward, but it takes too long and now she's got a Scout on top of her. That she's....already killed? It's disorienting enough that by the time she tried to fight back, she's taken one too many hits already. She's done for.

At least until she respawns with a vague, "What?" Guess this world is more like hers than she thought.

She starts to make her way back, her mind slowly starting to wonder why she was attacked when there were two BLU Pyros...

Teja shoots again at the RED engineer ahead, then turns and shoots his shotgun at the fierce RED fighter with the large club.

Who charges men armed with fire-arms with a club??

He shoots again, for this must be a berserker, and they will not stop, even if they are mortally wounded.

They will, however, stop if their hit points run out.

Which hers have done, thanks to that second shotgun blast.

"Yes," Teja says, nodding tersely.

Finish healing, replace the two rockets he has fired, move on.

The real BLU Pyro's down and out, thanks to that Scout, and the Soldier and Medic are standing still?

Spy could not ask for a better opportunity.

The BLU Spyro trots casually forward, disguise breaking only when his knife stabs out towards the Medic's back.

Teja turns, sees somebody stab the Medic in the back, and swings his shovel around, aiming for the backstabbing figure.

Crapcrapcrap. This is precisely why you attack when their attention is captivated elsewhere.

The RED Spy takes the hit and staggers back, cloaking as he does so. It takes a full second for it to conceal him completely and he has no qualms about fleeing back down the tunnel, hugging the right wall.

As soon as he's disappeared proper, though, he steps to the left and starts working his way back towards Teja.

"Are you well?" Teja asks the Medic, keeping on reloading the rocket launcher, and the shotgun, as he is at it.

That's not really going to work. The thing about backstabs is that the Spy has learned to make them... well, pretty much instantaneously lethal.

Medic's busy respawning; it might take a while before he gets back to the rest of the group. Better watch out, guys.
